Darragh Kelly is Chairman of the Board of Anam Technologies and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He began his accounting career with BDO Dublin in the Corporate Investment and Business Advisory Group where he worked for nine years holding a number of senior positions.
Darragh is co-founder of Kellysan Enterprises Limited, a family owned private equity company that invests internationally in market opportunities across a wide range of industries including and not limited to technology, energy, waste, education and healthcare. He holds the position of Financial Director in Kellysan.
He has extensive experience working with small and medium size companies across all sectors having both led and been involved in numerous assignments including fundraisings, trade sales, business acquisitions and company restructurings. In a professional capacity, Darragh’s experience has also included provision of taxation advice, legal and exit structures as well as risk management.
Darragh has a BComm from University College Dublin and a Masters in Accounting with UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Dr Noel Kelly
Dr Noel Kelly brings a wealth of management and international sales experience to Anam’s executive Management team. Dr. Kelly previously served as shareholder and Executive Director of Development activities at Kentz Corporation Ltd, where he was responsible for sourcing new investment for Kentz in 1994 and was actively involved in the company’s flotation on the London AIM market in 2008. He has over 40 years international experience in the engineering and construction sector operating in the Middle East, Asia, South Africa and Europe. His many strengths include client relationship management, international markets expansion and staff development. Noel holds an honorary Doctorate in management from the IMCA Business School.
John is responsible for all R&D activities, Technical Sales, Product lifecycle management and IP management within Anam. He has 30 years of extensive experience working in the Telecoms sector the bulk of these has been served in C-level roles working for multinationals such as Siemens AG as well as start-up companies such as Anam.
While John started his working life as a software developer for Siemens first GSM switch (ESWD), he has spent the last 20 years innovating, supplying messaging and security solutions to MNOs (ranging from very large to very small) in all parts of the globe.
John has authored a wide number of patents on SMS and MMS messaging, including the invention of transparent SMS Home Routing. John has also worked with multiple standard fora, including the WAP Forum (now OMA), TIA and SMS Forum. John was one of the key authors that standardized SMPP 3.4 as a protocol for inter-connect and application server connectivity.
John has an inherent ability understand MNO needs (often complex) on both technical and commercial level – which is always addressed using Anam expertise and “best in world” technology.
Alan has over 17 years experience in the Telcoms industry, starting his career in the support team in Aldiscon and was part of the team which developed the Y2K upgrade solution. He was then was then seconded to Iridium/Motorla based in Phoenix AZ and was part of the team which launched the Iridium Satellite network.
Following this Alan spent 5 years in Boston working with Tier-1 customers in USA, Canada & Mexico deal as the region experienced massive growth in SMS usage. In 2004 Alan joined Anam to manage the Operations team, his team of experts provide around the clock Managed Service and Support to Anam’s global customer base.
Paul has worked in the technology space for over 15 years. A graduate of University of Ulster, Paul trained as an accountant in a leading auditor practice in the North West of Ireland. Paul spent time in internal audit in the Tractech Ltd, a manufacturing subsidiary of a Detroit based automotive differentials producer, before joining the team of Kestrel 3D as group financial accountant. In his time in Kestrel 3D, a 3D imaging solutions company, Paul was responsible for the group reporting as well as coordinating the reporting with institutional partners such as the Netherlands National museum of Antiquities and the National Museum of Scotland.
Paul joined Anam Mobile in 2006 and was part of the management team that in 2012 were engaged by the new owners to head Anam Technologies Limited.
Padraig has 25 years experience in the Telecommunications Software industry and currently serves as Director of Engineering overseeing all product and solution development. Prior to joining Anam, Padraig held various senior positions in mobile networks division of LogicaCMG including Director of Engineering of the US office. At LogicaCMG and Aldiscon he led teams that developed the world’s first inter-technology roaming platform and the first CDMA OTA platform.
Padraig began his career at British Telecom as part of a research and development team that developed the prototypes for the first DECT telephones. He has authored a number patents from current and previous employments and was part of the team that standardised MMS as part of 3GPP. He holds a B.Eng (Telecommunications) from the University of Limerick.
Mary Therese has over 25 years experience in the Telecommunications sector. Involved with the SMS industry since its infancy in 1995, she has worked with Aldiscon, Logica CMG and now Anam Technologies in a variety of senior project and customer management roles. Her experience spans ownership of product delivery to Tier 1, 2 & 3 MNO’s across Europe, Asia, Middle East, Japan, Scandanavia, Caribbean and the US. Based on her proven track record in the industry, Mary Therese ensures a strong customer oriented Program Management approach to the deployment, support and services side of Anam’s business. Having worked in marketing roles earlier on in her career, Mary Therese is an active participant in Anam’s Marketing program.
Mary Therese’s primary degree is in Communications from Dublin City University. She pursued postgraduate research in the area of User Interface design.
Clive’s career in Telecommunications spans a variety of roles with equipment vendors, network operators and consultancies. Clive has particularly specialised in Mobile Messaging technologies working with Aldiscon (later acquired by Logica), Gemini Mobile Technologies and Ammeon.
For Logica, Clive established a UK sales and delivery organisation for mobile products, and later built a product development centre focussed on new messaging technology areas. Earlier in his career Clive worked as Principal Consultant with PA Consulting Group and in technology related roles with Energis, SITA and Nortel. For Anam in his role as Chief Commercial Officer, Clive is responsible for driving sales activities worldwide.
Brian has over 18 years’ experience in the mobile industry. He was a founding member of the first MVNO in Ireland, Imagine Mobile. Following this he took up a position as Global Head Of Content for a BT new venture, covering content services in Asia, Africa and Europe.
In 2009 Brian returned to Ireland to become Commercial Director of O2 Media with Telefonica Ireland. Brian had P+L responsibility for PSMS, Charge to Mobile, Mobile Advertising products as well as wholesale A2P SMS. In this role at Telefonica Brian deployed the Anam Revenue Assurance solution, “Assure”, and experienced first-hand the opportunities & benefits of A2P SMS. In August 2014 Brian joined Anam as VP of Managed Services where he has P+L responsibility for Anam’s A2P Revenue Assurance customers. Brian brings a deep understanding from an Operators perspective of the benefits of our Revenue Assurance product given his tenure with Telefonica.
He has an entrepreneurial flair with great passion which has allowed him lead in his field – First MNO to launch A2P Revenue Assurance in Ireland. First MNO to launch Charge to Mobile in Ireland. Founding member of the 1st MVNO in Ireland. Brian has a Marketing Degree with Business studies.
