Eclipse SMSX
What is it?
Anam’s Eclipse SMSX is a highly-configurable short-messaging switch that has been built to optimize application connectivity and manage high-volume P2A, A2P and P2P message delivery without compromising quality of service. It provides a solution for all current and future short message traffic demands and is the fastest and most flexible sms delivery platform available.
Eclipse SMSX can deliver a capacity rate of between 300 and 1000 messages per second and is fully 3GPP and 3GPP compliant. It can be deployed into GSM or CDMA networks and supports various SMS application interfaces such as SMPP, EMI-UCP, CIMD2 and CMPP (China), as well as HTTP and SMTP.
Eclipse SMSX offers a long-term SMS platform strategy to mobile operators.
How does it work?
Eclipse SMSX can be deployed as a “First Delivery Attempt Message Centre” for Mobile originated SMS (MO-SMS) and Mobile Terminated SMS (MT-SMS), or as a standard SMSC (Short Message Service Centre) with retry functionality. For standard SMSC, a “Retry Node” ensures undelivered SMS messages are resent (for example if the network were to experience any temporary service issues).
Eclipse SMSX can also act as a pure SMS Router using a component known as Smart Routing. This provides the ability to intercept MO-SMS, MT SMS and apply flexible routing rules to determine whether the message should be sent to an application, SMSC or MSC.
