Multi-SIM

What is it?

Multi-SIM SMS is a service which provides subscribers with the ability to have a single “master” mobile number shared among their multiple devices such as a mobile phone, broadband modem, Blackberry and data card. This allows a subscriber to use one single mobile number to receive and send SMS regardless of which device they use.

How does it work?

Typically one of the SIM’s is designated the Master-SIM and the Multi-SIM SMS Smart Service provides support for two distinct services, they are (1)  Delivery of MT-SMS messages which are destined to any of the SIM's either to all Multi-SIM devices, to the Master-SIM only or to which ever devices are currently attached and (2) Conversion of the originating number to the Master-SIM number for messages originated from all the Multi-SIM devices which belong to the same originating subscriber.
