BMS Finance, specialist provider of debt finance to small and medium-sized, privately owned companies, has today (Monday 20th November) announced a new investment in Anam Technologies, Irish Mobile Messaging Specialists. This loan will enable Anam accelerate its international market expansion and build out on a number of recent impressive contract wins with some of the worlds largest telecoms groups, including Telenor Group, Deutsche Telekom and Digicel Group. The Enterprise Ireland client company currently employs over 50 people and has overseas presence in Czech Republic, Jamaica, Malaysia, Malta, the UK, Pakistan & Vietnam.
Ovum’s Enterprise Messaging Survey 2017 shows the use of Application to Person (A2P) SMS continues to surge, and forecasts 1.28tn messages by 2019, up from 1.16tn in 2016, as it is an established and trusted channel by which enterprises can send transactional and promotional messages.
Anam Technologies is the fastest growing, independent SMS Firewall and Application to Person (A2P) monetization service provider in the world, filtering billions of messages for over 370 million mobile subscribers in more than 65 countries. In a November 2017 survey conducted by ROCCO, 172 mobile Operators across 141 countries rated Anam world No 1 SMS Firewall provider.
Darren Hough, Investment Manager at BMS Finance comments:
“We are delighted to support Darragh and his team at Anam. Their ability to secure contracts with some of the largest Mobile Network Operators demonstrates the quality of their R&D and patented technology. We look forward to supporting Anam as they continue to grow. This is our fourteenth investment since our launch in Ireland. Our investment into Anam is a growth capital investment into a fast growing solution company. We have invested in multiple sectors and funded for acquisitions, capex, management buyouts and shareholder restructurings.”
Darragh Kelly, Chairman added:
“Throughout 2017 we have grown our business significantly through securing contracts with major mobile Operators. Some of these companies have in excess of 35 million subscribers and they require a tier 1 comprehensive solution that can handle huge volumes of A2P SMS traffic. Anam won these contracts because it has mature technology, a methodology to drive Operator revenue, a clear customer focus, delivered by a professional team. Projects of this scale require funding and we felt BMS were the ideal partner to support us in these developments.”
