Software Engineers
The C/C++ software engineer will be involved in various software development projects across all Product lines. Products are developed within a structured software development cycle with strict adherence to high standards of development and unit testing.
Key Tasks
- Working as a software engineer within the Engineering function.
- Development of detailed functional specifications as well as associated detailed design documents.
- Full coding and unit testing responsibilities and implementation of design specs.
- Software development within application and network protocol environments (SS7, TCP/IP).
- Management of code walk throughs and software verification processes.
- Ability to provide support in maintaining and enhancing existing software engineering practices and methodologies.
Skill Set Required:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Roles vary from 3-7+ years proven development experience in Telecommunications product environment
- Expert UNIX (Linux) and C/C++ experience
- Hands on programming TCP/IP or SS7 communications protocols desirable
- Previous experience within SMS/MMS product lines or related Wireless Data Products would be advantageous.
- Strong telecommunications technical background in Wireless Networks (GPRS, 3G, GSM, UMTS, CDMA)
- Experience of RDBMS/SQL (MySql)
- ACE Framework development experience an advantage
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Independent work approach and the ability to multi task in a busy work environment
Software Testers
Based in the Dublin office the test engineering role will involve the testing of product software within the test team. Products are developed within a structured software development cycle with strict adherence to high standards of unit , system and integration testing gates. The software tester will have excellent UNIX scripting skills and be familiar with working within a product test environment. Candidates should also have a good understanding of structured software engineering processes. Previous Telecommunications Networks knowledge is desirable.
Skill Set Required:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ years proven test engineering experience in Telecommunications product environment.
- Strong UNIX (Linux) and scripting skills (Python, TCL, Perl).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP or SS7 communications protocols desirable.
- Previous test experience within SMS/MMS product lines or related Wireless Data Products would be advantageous.
- Strong telecommunications technical background in Wireless Networks (GPRS, 3G, GSM, UMTS, CDMA).
- Experience of RDBMS/SQL (MySql).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Independent work approach and the ability to multi task in a busy work environment.
Technical Support Engineers
As a technical support engineer the role will have a strong customer and technical focus. Customers will typically be Telecommunications Operators and the position will require extensive global travel to customer sites. It will involve product deployment and product support both remotely from the Dublin office but often at the customer site. Candidates should have strong UNIX, Networking knowledge as well as some proficiency with SQL and relational databases. The individual should have the excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills as well as the ability to work in an independent way. Excellent people communication skills and strong documentation skills are essential requirements.

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ years proven technical support experience preferably in Telecommunications product environment.
- Strong UNIX (Linux) experience.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP or SS7 communications protocols desirable.
- Previous experience within SMS/MMS product lines or related Wireless Data Products would be advantageous.
- Experience of RDBMS/SQL (MySql).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Independent work approach and the ability to multi task in a busy work environment
- Available for global travel.
