Noel Kelly does not fit the bill for a typical tech boss. There’s his age, 68, for starters, and the fact he prefers a sharp shirt and tie, with silver cufflinks and a gem-studded tie pin, to the T-shirts and hoodies beloved by geeks.
Kelly wears a gold Rolex and occasionally uses a walking stick, the result of a virus picked up in Africa that can affect his balance. “I try not to use it,” he confides.
“People would be saying, ‘Who’s the white-haired fella with the stick?’”
