15 Jun Tipping Point for RCS Business Messaging
Anam, an RBM Connector
Malcolm Gladwell’s bestselling book The Tipping Point delves behind “that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behaviour crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire”.
Gladwell argues that a key ingredient for such success is a group of people in a community who know large numbers of other people and who are in the habit of making introductions. He calls them ‘Connectors’ and argues that they are essential to linking up the world and whose strength is in occupying many different worlds and bringing them together.
The emerging RCS Business Messaging (RBM) opportunity is most definitely gathering pace. As the various elements of the supporting framework fall into place, growth in the RBM market is picking up – forecast to become a $10bn market by 2023 according to recently published research from MobileSquared – and it most certainly needs its Connectors.
Anam’s RBM Hub platform is designed to bring the RBM ecosystem together by fulfilling a critical ‘Connector’ role for Mobile Operators, Enterprises, MaaP Providers, Aggregators, Chatbot Providers & Consumers. The availability of a multifeatured, flexible hub eases the way for stakeholders to get involved in this exciting new form of engagement with customers.

Eamonn Dullaghan, Director of Product at ANAM
Anam is already a well-established and highly successful player in the A2P SMS ecosystem. Our Messaging products & services enable Enterprises to connect with millions of consumers in multiple markets across the globe today. Our well-developed connections extend right across the eco system covering Mobile Operators & International Carriers, Aggregators and Enterprises and key industry groups such as GSMA & MEF.
Gladwell claims the social success of Connectors is a function of “something intrinsic to their personality, some combination of curiosity, self-confidence, sociability, and energy”. He might well have had Anam in mind when he was writing.
